Israel’s largest law firms announce a complete shut-down on Monday in protest.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken yesterday reiterating President Biden: “Israel’s enduring protest movement that is demonstrating the vibrancy of Israel’s democracy, which must remain the core of our bilateral relationship*.
The Histadrut presented a compromise plan to the government; it was rejected by Likud. Unclear whether this means the Histadrut may go on strike.
The Histadrut under Arnon Bar-David announced that if an agreement is not reached, at 4 pm today they will decide whether to strike.
In the second quarter of 2023, the total amount of initial capital raised by Israeli start-ups fell to a three-year low. (The Marker)
Coalition members have been told to remain in Jerusalem starting at 2 pm today (preventing them from attending the pro-government protest tonight in Tel Aviv) supposedly due to concerns that the Opposition will call for a vote on the unreasonableness bill while Coalition members are elsewhere.
Senior coalition sources threatened that anyone who does not support the reasonableness bill Monday will be fired - including Likud’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant (Arutz 7)
