👉🏽 Israeli Air Force pilots who had halted their voluntary service in protest against the judicial reform must return to service by October 17 or face permanent discharge from the military.

👉🏽 The OECD suggests Israel eliminate subsidies for Haredi yeshiva students, and condition childcare support on father’s employment, in order to close socioeconomic gaps in Israeli society. The current Israeli government budget includes NIS 13.7 billion ($3.7 billion) for Haredi institutions, including NIS 3.7 billion ($960 million) for increased yeshiva stipends. Last week, the Knesset Finance Committee approved the allocation of hundreds of millions more shekels for the Haredi educational system. (JPost)

👉🏽 Religious Zionism’s Simcha Rothman’s brother implicated as leader of Old City group accused of spitting on Christians, N12 reports; some of his students were arrested, though Rothman himself was reportedly not directly involved. Former spokesman for Jewish Power’s Limor Son Har-Melech, whom the JPost identified as far-right activist Elisha Yered, said in response to the Orthodox Jews spitting on Christian pilgrims, “The custom of spitting near churches or monasteries is an ancient Jewish tradition.”
